So tonight was the much anticipated elementary school reunion of sorts. I was anxious to see some old friends and acquaintances of course, because to me, my four years at Coppard were of the best in my life.
I was expecting about 20 people, and about 16 showed, including 3 tag-alongs on Rex and Kathy. We met at Frankie's for six, but Jess and I arrived fashionably late, even beating out our wonderful planner Karen =) !
Dinner was so-so, and I think I'm feeling the effects of some seafood I had there +o( ... got to see and talk to a buncha guys and girls, and just catching up in general!
Afterwards, I chauffeured Paul, Bonnie and Karen to bubble tea at Commerce Valley. The only CD's my mom had in car were "Black & Blue" by the Backstreet Boys and "A Day Without Rain" by Enya T_T . Naturally we turned up BSB and opened the windows. Joshua and his mammoth SUV was on my ass so we exchanged fingers and words.
The dinner wiped us out (about $25 per person) so some people didn't really have any money to do anything. At the bubble tea place, we sat around and played cards. Just like old times.
Jess had to go home, so I took a buncha people home starting at about 10, and we kinda ditched some of the guys at the bubble tea place. After driving everyone home, I decided to take the scenic route back to my place. Gave me a chance to take things easy and clear my head. It was nice.
All in all, it was a good night. I must admit a smaller group and more intimate environment would have been better, but it was good while it lasted. I look forward to doing something like that again in the future!
